Our senior attorney Lyne Ranson has personal experience with family law and divorce. She is dedicated to providing legal services that help clients heal and move on past their legal disputes. Lyne remains passionate in providing both men and women the exceptional divorce and family law representation that she found hard to obtain.

Lyne has been practicing for nearly 38 years and is knowledgeable in all the intricacies of family law specific to West Virginia. She is a former elected Kanawha County Circuit Judge and assistant U.S. attorney for the Federal Southern District of West Virginia. As an experienced attorney, Lyne Ranson also extends her knowledge to the legal community. She spent many summers teaching trial skills to third-year students at the West Virginia University College of Law for years and was an instructor in the paralegal program for the University of Charleston.

Lyne is one of only six attorneys in the state admitted as a fellow in the prestigious American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML). For the past nine years she has served as Chair of the West Virginia State Bar Family Law Committee and has been chair of the Kanawha Bench-Bar Committee for eight years. She serves on the Council for the Family Law Section of the American Bar Association and was selected as Co-chair of the CLE Committee.
